I won't go into a long dissertation about it- so let me cut straight the the point. Specifically-
God is the PERFECT Father. That is not a over-statement. He IS everything that is good, perfect, righteous, lovely, just, holy. And ALL that overlaps into His 'performance' of our Creator and Father.
SO, that being what is true, consider- His words that are directed towards us ... His LOVE towards us ... His thoughts towards us... what He TRULY thinks/feels about us, to the deepest part of His core. His being the PERFECT Father means that everything that He thinks and does for us can be trusted to be completely 'about' His love for us. Realizing that is soooo comforting. :)
So if we have that fact engraved into our heart & mind ....that what God says is TRUE and He is 100% trustworthy then when GOD says, "You are fearfully and wonderfully made" and " you are precious in my sight" and " I love you with an EVERLASTING love" and "our sins are cleansed by Christ's sacrifice" "we are redeemed and part of God's family" then WHY do we CHOOSE to believe otherwise??
If, on the other hand, Satan despises God. He mocks Him AND 'uses' us and seeks to devalue EVERYTHING that we are, as created by the Supreme God. Everything about him is to destroy God's goodness. He DOESN't try to make things that are beautiful and radiate LIFE. His goal is to bring death to all the goodness that God created.... doesn't matter WHAT it is, it needs to be destroyed. His most important aspiration is to destroy man. He CANNOT be trusted with ANY aspect of life - most importantly, man's life- because he is only about death. So IF we UNDERSTAND the depth of that destruction he has for us and if we know that HIS pleasure is to CONVINCE us of HIS disgusting, hateful, horrid, dark, ugly lies- then WHY would we CHOOSE to believe them??
To BELIEVE that you are worthless. You don't deserve anything better. That you cannot be negatively affected by dabbling in things that God says not to do because it will harm you, to wallow in sorrow, anger, hopelessness, bitterness, fear, disgust at yourself & self loathing, you're just not 'good enough' and so many other lies... ALL of those things PREVENT us from having what GOD would have us have.... the love, hope, peace, joy, faith-- all radiating His truth to our spirit and lives. If we focus on the lies and act in accordance to them, we PREVENT ourselves from receiving the benefits of the TRUTH.
Here are some TRUTHS from the mouth of God. He is a perfect Father- so if HE says it, I believe Him and choose to receive what He has created and is giving to me :)
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11).
"I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness" (Jeremiah 31:3).
"For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour..... 4Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee.... 5Fear not: for I am with thee..." (Is 43:3-5)
I CHOOSE to BELIEVE this.
